Background and Interests
In October 2011, I joined the Department of Computer Science as an assistant professor ("Juniorprofessor") for Web Science. Before that I was a senior researcher ("Oberassistent") and PostDoc at the Systems Group of ETH Zürich from 2006 to 2011. During my PhD (under the supervision of Donald Kossmann) I spent time at TU München, Universität Heidelberg and ETH Zürich.
My research interests are focused on the systems-oriented work in data management. Recently, I have been working on
- Analysis of Social Network and Social Streams
- Realtime Analytics
- Architecture of Information Systems
- Data stream management
